Bringing Pewter People to life since 1995

Welcome

Welcome to Pewter Illusions. I specialize in painting 25/28mm fantasy miniatures for your RPG's and wargames.

I pride myself on excellent customer service and attention to detail, both at and away from the painting table. Take a look around and drop me a line, perhaps I can help you to bring your favorite character to life.

Play Magic: the Gathering?

Track your life points in style with a unique, hand-painted life counter. Featuring bas relief work sculpted by Sandra Garrity, these pewter beauties can track life points from 1-40, and are easier to read than a d20. They're a great way to intimidate your opponents at tournaments, because plonking one of these down on the table shows that you're serious about the game and not going to be anybody's patsy. Six different styles to choose from!

Wrapped up some more Khador models. These will be my last for a while. It's convention season, which also means painting contest season, so I'm trying to whip up some entries for various contests. I should be back to commission work by the end of July. The latest figures are a unit of Kossite Woodsmen. #1, #2, #3, and a group shot. I also did up 4 more Iron Fang Pikemen, but since they look just like the ones listed below, no pics of them.

My latest models are yet more Khador - this time a unit of 6 Iron Fang Pikemen and their unit attachment - 8 figures in all. Pics are here: trooper, standard bearer, lieutenant and kapitan, and a group shot. I'm really pleased with the way the standard came out. At the rate I'm going, I'll have the equivalent of a full Khador army painted up soon!

The winner of my Widowmaker auction has come back for more, and I've wrapped up a unit of Khador Greylords for him. Click here and here for pictures.

I painted up a squad of Khadoran Widowmakers (for Warmachine) to put up on ebay. I'm quite pleased with how they turned out, especially given the frantic pace I set to try to get them done in time for Christmas. I think they may have some of the best faces I've ever done. You can view the pics here, here, and here.

I finished up a piece representing my wife's Werewolf: the Apocalypse character, viewable here. She's not for sale (my wife would kill me), but is a good example of what you can get for your commission, e.g. the scrollwork on the front of the base and the fact that I'm happy to do non-humanoid characters as well. Enjoy!

Been kinda quiet around here, but that doesn't mean I haven't been painting. My latest commission is Praicee, a Gnomish inventor-type lady with a knack for steam-powered toys. The original gear on her back was removed in favor of a single, larger backpack. A pair of goggles were added to her head, and her crossbow was converted into a steam-powered blade launcher. Enjoy!
